This is a Looney Tunes cartoon entitled "Hollywood Steps Out." It makes fun of Hollywood and features celebrities from the 1930s and early 1940s. Its one of my favorite cartoons of all time. Just for fun, see if you can name all of the celebrities as they appear in order!!! ^_^

So I don't know why this popped in my head, but today I suddenly remembered the movie The Secretary and wouldn't leave my brain until I posted this. So here we are. Hey! Back again!! Got a Crackfic prompt this time!!! ^_^

**I don't claim to be a writer or author, just bear with me**

A meeting had been called and the Runway staff was busy pouring over the next layout and hoping, in vain, to find something to please Miranda.
"Have we heard back from Tommy yet?"
Inwardly cringing Jocelyn replied, "No, but if he doesn't reply we were thinking maybe we could conta-"
"No. There will be no be no substitute. I don't understand why it's so difficult for people to do their jo-" Just then Emily burst into the meeting.

"I'm so sorry Miranda. We tried to stop her, she shot the phones before we could call security and demanded we take her to you."

A young woman strolled in as if she just walked into her home. Everyone noticed she wore both a expression of grim determination and a guitar case strapped to her back.
The woman walked around the table until she was behind Nigel and locked eyes with Miranda. With her gun resting against his temple she spoke one word "Move." Nigel couldn't scramble from the table fast enough.
Miranda was unfazed. Glacial blue eyes bore into the hazel ones of the young woman's. Finally the girl spoke, "Miranda Priestly," the woman made a move to open her guitar case "I've come to battle you for my soul."

Yea its me again! :)

I recently came up with a idea about Andy being in a position over Irv and Miranda really, so she could get closer to Miranda. While discussing it with skeeter451, she came up with some variations of that prompt that would be more workable. She encouranged me to share the ideas with the group. Soooo here they are And I quote:

"If you want to put Andy in a position over Miranda, have Irv appoint Andy as an executive with control over a division that includes Runway. It could a part of his game to get back at Miranda for the Paris thing. He knows having someone younger, more beautiful and seemingly sweet and naive over her would drive Miranda absolutely bugshit. Andy's position could even be something bullshit, like Executive Editorial Consultant whose sole purpose is to report to him what Miranda's up to. Miranda would know that's exactly what Andy's there for.

And to make it even more fun, why not have Andy exactly as she was the day she walked into E-C in the movie? Like she's talking with the HR person about Auto Universe and Irv, out of his mind with trying to figure out how to get back at Miranda, storms into the office during the interview. The woman (can't remember her name at the moment, I think it's Cherie - Andy had it listed in her date book during the opening credits) mentions to Irv that she was just about to send Andy up to interview for Miranda's second assistant. Irv, annoyed, might bark something like she's not qualified for that (meaning she's unfashionable) and Andy mentions she was Editor-in-Chief for the Daily Northwestern and Irv gets the idea of how he can get under Miranda's skin. Andy's clueless at first, she can't understand why all of a sudden she's got an executive position and why this devil in silver hair hates her so much. I could see conflict with Emily, but Nigel again coming to her rescue and cluing her in on exactly what's going on and Irv's plan. So Nigel again transforms Andy to the beautiful swan and Miranda starts to take notice and eventually the three of them work together to get rid of Irv."

I just came up with a little snippet that someone can use in a fic or toward a fic. I guess its a challenge really. :0)

"Have you gotten my note?" Miranda asked, demanded really, resisting the urge to throttle the man in front of her. "Yes, I did. We'll discuss it on Wednesday." Irv replied with that self-satisfied smirk that Miranda abhorred. The plastered smile on Miranda's face got so cold its a wonder Irv hadn't shivered. "Yes I agee, no business tonight." Miranda replied.

Before Irv could walk away an "Excuse me, Mr. Ravitz?" was spoken. Miranda and Irv turned to witness a young woman complete her walk in their direction. " I could not help but to overhear this little interaction. Just to be clear Irv, Miranda sent you a memo with a request that Jacqueline arrive after her exit and you for whatever juvenille reason decided to bring her as your date?"

"How da-" Irv sputtered. The young woman continued like he hadn't even spoken. "I assumed that the chairmen of Elias-Clarke were suave businessmen that did not need to do useless power plays for a good time in lieu of Viagra. But you know what they say about assumptions." The young woman finished with a sickenly-sweet smile. Irv had gone so red in anger anyone who saw him would think he was on the verge of a stroke. Shaking in fury Irv growled "Who the hell do you think you are?!" With a shark smile that almost rivaled Miranda's the young woman replied "I'm Andrea Clarke your new boss."

Hello all!
This one came to me after reading the comments on Helebette's Bumps in the Road fic.  I ignored it and today in the middle of class it came back. 

Suppose every member of Miranda's family is blessed by Cupid at birth to find their true love and happines.  One of Miranda's ancestors helped Cupid and so Cupid decided to give something back in his eternal gratitude. 

 Since we are on the subject of Mirandy. ;) I was wondering if anyone was interested in or already completed a fanfic to this effect:

Miranda either has always wanted to be a teacher or on a whim decides she wants to be one. She has the power to just take off for a year and decides she wants to go somewhere where no one would really recognize her-Ohio, that's where she meets Andy.(You can twist it however you see fit . I had this idea in my head while walking to class yesterday and I know there are some phenominal writers that will do this justice if picked up.
